Thistle & Thread is a sewing bar where you rent machine time, buy fabric by the yard, and learn from founder Clara Nguyen’s calm demos. Clara left a corporate job to teach people to mend and make again. Beginner nights and kids’ camps keep the shop buzzing. Clara’s origin story: a grandmother’s Singer and a neighborhood that needed somewhere to sew without owning a machine. She still cuts patterns at the front table and still celebrates every first zipper.
